New Super Luckys Tale
Overview
Monster Train is a turn-based strategy and deck-building game where players fight to protect Hell from annihilation while aboard a train. The core gameplay revolves around card collection and tactical combat, where players must defend their train from waves of enemies, ultimately facing off against powerful archangels in a bid to save the world.
Set in a chaotic universe, players take on the role of Hell’s protector, tasked with transporting the last burning ember to the deepest layers of Hell to reignite its flames. Throughout this journey, enemies will continuously attack your train, and you’ll need to use strategic deployment of units across different train floors to fend them off.

With over 200 different cards to collect, players have a wide variety of choices when building their decks. From summoning powerful demons to casting potent spells, players can tailor their decks to face various foes. There are five different clans to choose from, each with its unique skills and playstyles. -
Infinite Replayability:
Each playthrough features randomly generated maps and enemy configurations, ensuring that no two games are the same. As you progress, new cards and relics become available, adding layers of depth and strategy to the game. -
Multiplayer and Cooperative Modes:
Beyond the single-player mode, Monster Train also offers a competitive PvP mode where players race to defeat enemies faster and more efficiently than their opponents. There’s also a weekly challenge mode that offers unique conditions for players to overcome.
Strategy Guide
1. Starting the Game
-
Understanding Story Mode:
When first starting, new players should opt for lower difficulty settings to get acquainted with the game’s mechanics. Choose your preferred clan (Hellhorned, Awoken, etc.), as each clan offers distinct advantages. Understanding each clan’s strengths will help you better face the challenges ahead. -
Exploration and Collection:
During your journey, you’ll encounter various decision points, such as acquiring new cards or upgrading existing ones. Early on, focus on upgrading key cards that can offer substantial advantages in battles. Selecting the right upgrades and paths is crucial for survival.
2. Tackling Deeper Challenges
-
Deck Optimization:
As you progress, your deck may become bloated with less useful cards. Regularly remove unnecessary cards to ensure you draw the most critical ones during battles. Given the train’s multi-floor defense system, it’s essential to balance offensive and defensive cards wisely. -
Choosing Relics and Artifacts:
After each battle, players can obtain relics that can significantly impact gameplay. Some relics offer extra energy per turn, while others boost unit strength. Choose relics that complement your deck’s strategy to enhance your overall effectiveness.
3. Facing Final Bosses
- Boss Preparation:
At the end of each stage, players face off against an archangel. These bosses have special abilities that require specific strategies. Some may deal significant ranged damage, so deploying defensive units early to absorb hits while maintaining offensive pressure is key to victory.
4. Social and Multiplayer Modes
-
Participating in Weekly Challenges:
Each week, the game introduces new challenge modes with special conditions, offering fresh gameplay experiences. These challenges test your adaptability and strategic skills, allowing you to compete against other players globally. -
Trying the PvP Mode:
In multiplayer competitive mode, you race against others to complete the game’s challenges in the fastest time. Winning requires not only a strong deck but also quick thinking and adaptability as the clock ticks down.
