“Project Winter” is a multiplayer cooperative and betrayal survival game developed by Other Ocean Interactive. The game’s core revolves around players striving to survive in a frigid environment, completing various tasks, and escaping. However, the game’s most distinctive feature is its element of betrayal, where some players are assigned as traitors whose goal is to secretly sabotage the survival and escape plans of others.

At the start of the game, players are randomly assigned as “Survivors” or “Traitors.” The primary objective of the survivors is to complete a series of tasks, such as repairing generators, communication towers, or gathering resources to activate the escape mechanism. On the other hand, traitors must discreetly undermine the survivors’ plans and strike at the right moment to kill the survivors or prevent their escape.

Survivor Guide

1. Teamwork: As a survivor, teamwork is crucial. Maintain good communication and cooperation with other survivors, assign tasks, and share resources. Use in-game voice or text chat to keep everyone informed about current progress and needed assistance.
2. Resource Management: Collecting resources like wood, stone, food, and medicine is fundamental for survival. Ensure your team has enough resources to cope with the harsh environment and traitors’ sabotage. It’s advisable to set up a resource depot near the base for easy access by everyone.
3. Repair Tasks: The main tasks in the game usually involve repairing generators and communication towers. These tasks require specific materials and tools, so pre-assign who is responsible for collecting which materials and collaborate to complete the repairs. Avoid acting alone to prevent traitor attacks.
4. Guard Against Traitors: Stay vigilant and observe if any team members act suspiciously, such as always avoiding group activities or frequently moving alone. Use the chat to discuss and mark suspicious individuals, and take appropriate precautions like assigning guards or regularly checking the resource depot.
5. Escape Strategy: Once all tasks are completed, survivors need to head to the designated escape point and activate the escape mechanism. Be especially cautious of traitor ambushes during the escape process, so it’s recommended to move as a group and set up sentries to ensure safety.

Traitor Guide

1. Hide Your Identity: As a traitor, the most important thing is not to reveal your identity. Maintain cooperation with survivors, seemingly participating in tasks, but secretly sabotaging their plans. Avoid being overly active or passive; keep a low profile.
2. Sabotage Tasks: While survivors repair generators or other equipment, secretly sabotage their work. For example, during resource collection, quietly remove some key items or damage equipment just before repairs are completed to delay their progress.
3. Murder Plan: Choosing the right time and place for an assassination is crucial for traitors. Targeting lone survivors is the best strategy, ensuring swift action without leaving traces. Use environmental cover or set traps to increase success rates.
4. Divide the Team: Creating distrust and chaos is one of the traitor’s strategies. Use voice or text chat to spread rumors, sow discord among survivors, making them suspicious of each other. This tactic can distract them and give you more room to maneuver.
5. Final Interception: When survivors are about to escape, it’s the traitor’s last chance. Set up ambush points or sabotage the escape mechanism to ensure survivors cannot escape successfully. Cooperate with other traitors to execute a well-planned raid, ending their survival journey.
